Levels

Excite Level 1

The Movement’s “Excite” level (Level 1) builds excitement and ambition for the dance artform. Dancers in this level are ready to build a solid foundation for dance technique and terminology, alongside fostering a passion for music and movement. Each lesson exposes dancers with the opportunity to grow in responsibility, work ethic, discipline, and respect. “Excite” dancers have on-stage performance opportunities in our Annual Summer Recital in June, or by auditioning to be part of our Company that performs multiple times throughout the year.

Inspire Level 2

The Movement’s “Inspire” level (Level 2) inspires dancers to progress in their dance journey. Dancers in this level focus on strengthening their memorization skills, their technical abilities, their movement quality and setting attainable goals. Each lesson promotes intentional choices in both personal attitude and dance discipline, concentration, determination, and purpose in dancers. Dancers are expected to practice respect, responsibility, and dedication to the dance artform. “Inspire” dancers have on-stage performance opportunities in our Annual Summer Recital in June, or by auditioning to be part of our Company that performs multiple times throughout the year.

Artistry Level 3

The Movement’s “Artistry” level (Level 3) fine-tunes dancers’ artistry in technique and performance. Dancers in this level sharpen their control of movement, fortify their technique, strengthen their endurance, conquer their goals, and gather confidence in their expression.  Each lesson improves physical capability, kinesthetic awareness, and proficiency of terminology. Dancers are required to practice respect, humility, integrity, determination, and responsibility in a habitual manner. “Artistry” dancers have on-stage performance opportunities in our Annual Summer Recital in June, or by auditioning to be part of our Company that performs multiple times throughout the year.

Style Level 4

The Movement’s “Style” level (Level 4) unlocks dancers’ personal style and expression. Dancers in this level have built a firm foundation in technique and artistry and are ready to diverge into stylized and versatile movement. This is when dancers explore who they are as a performer, and what makes them unique in their performance by overcoming their personal boundaries and exceeding their own expectations. Dancers are unwaveringly responsible, driven, respectful, organized, positive and reliable. “Style” dancers have on-stage performance opportunities in our Annual Summer Recital in June, or by auditioning to be part of our Company that performs multiple times throughout the year.
